The World on our Doorstep
Big Lottery Awards for All

We are delighted to have been awarded funding from the Big Lottery Awards for All scheme to support our work with playgroups, nurseries and pre-school settings in the Barrow-in-Furness area of Cumbria.

This exciting project has enabled us to create a number of activity boxes to provide support for their activities with young children, in particular helping them to develop a greater understanding of the world around them through role play, games, talk and outdoor activities.Zogg004s

Work is almost complete on the activity boxes each of which focuses on a theme from the Meet Zogg storybook, and we look forward to showcasing them at the upcoming ‘World from Our Doorstep’ event on 17th June at Rydal Hall, Ambleside. The event will not only showcase these boxes and celebrate the achievements of this project it will be the launch day for a further three years of work, funded by the European Union which will support practitioners working with young children to learn about sustainability, the world, and their role in it.
