Values

This resource pack is
designed to support KS3&4 teachers in the delivery of global
citizenship, with additional curriculum links with geography, PSHE
and RE.
The pack contains a teacher's
booklet and CD-ROM with suggested activities and accompanying resources,
divided into three themes:
- An outdoor activity
session. Looking at the value we place on the world around us
and encouraging the use of the outdoors as a learning resource.
- Values and Identity.
Exploring identity and values in relation to others, the environment
and ourselves.
- Balancing conflicting
needs. Pupils are given opportunities to explore a particular
scenario (whether or not to flood a valley) from a range of perspectives.
The pack includes local
and global case studies from Mardale, Cumbria and Lesotho in southern
Africa.
