Embedding Global Learning: inspirational ideas for teaching the global dimension
This course will support staff to explore global learning and to understand its importance in terms of pupil learning. There will be a focus on supporting staff to embed elements of global learning in their planning.  The approach will be fun, engaging active learning to motivate staff.  We will incorporate outdoor learning, and a focus on team building through collaborative learning, challenge and enquiry.

Philosophy for Children
The focus of this session is to introduce staff, through a range of experiential and inspiring activities, to the key concepts which should underpin global learning, and to explore new perspectives, in order to challenge both themselves and their learners.  The session will bring lots of practical ideas, introduced through experiential learning, so that staff teams can begin to implement them into their practice and planning straight away

Not Just A One Off! Planning for sustainability in multi-cultural learning
The focus of this session is to introduce staff, through a range of experiential and inspiring activities, to the key concepts which should underpin global learning, and to explore new perspectives, in order to challenge both themselves and their learners.  The session will bring lots of practical ideas, introduced through experiential learning, so that staff teams can begin to implement them into their practice and planning straight away.

The World from our Doorstep
Engaging in global learning with young children is about setting the foundations – of curiosity, wonder, cooperation, understanding similarities with others around the world, celebrating differences rather than being afraid of them.  This session investigates practical ways of developing learning and shows how through stories, play and experiential learning children can explore links between ourselves, our environment and the wider world.

Show Ofsted the World: SMSC through global learning
This course explores the opportunities to provide a stimulating curriculum which uses real life contexts to motivate learning and aims to provide ways for teachers to embed SMSC and global learning as part of the school ethos, while meeting the many requirements of your next Ofsted inspection.  Updated to include current Ofsted requirements, and Values.

Where next for Fairtrade in your school?
Join this practical lively workshop to help get started on Fairtrade at school (or even to refresh and reinvigorate the topic for you, your colleagues, and pupils).  This workshop will give you everything you need to know about the new Fairtrade Schools Award, and you will take away lots of ideas about how to embed Fairtrade into the curriculum, showing progression from Early Years to Key Stage 2 and making Fairtrade become part of the school ethos.

Thinking of Linking
This is a ‘must do’ session if your school is considering how to get the most out of an international school link.  School partnerships have an important part to play in helping young people to understand different cultures and to prepare to study and work in an increasingly globalised society. They can contribute to pupils’ achievement and to their spiritual, moral, social and cultural development.

The Global Outdoor Classroom
Teachers who participate in this course will be better able to use the outdoor space at their school as a powerful medium for global learning, increasing their pupils’ engagement and ability to identify interconnections between global concepts such as social justice, sustainable development and human rights.
