CDEC to welcome Anastasia Avdieva to Cumbria for a unique P4C course

Apr 2, 2019

As part of the celebrations of 25 years of P4C in Cumbria, we are welcoming Anastasia Avdieva and her unique workshop Using Art as a tool for Philosophical Practice to our county's teachers.

The workshop, developed and led by Anastasia Avdieva, who has trained to SAPERE Level 2A and with Oscar Brenifier, demonstrates how to use conceptual art in your philosophical practice with children and parents, starting with a discussion on 'What is conceptual art?', and then going into how to use art objects for philosophical enquiry.

This includes questioning, justifying and analysing proposed concepts, and the philosophical questions the art object raises and how to ask effective questions to support your children. You will also get the chance to create your own art object!

Anastasia is visiting us for just one workshop, which is on Wednesday 8 May from 1.30pm to 4.30pm, and costs just £45. Places are limited so please get in touch with us as soon as possible to book yours!
