Hidden Stories - Extending the conversation

Hidden Stories - Extending the conversation

Delve into the Hidden Stories of those who have moved to Cumbria having been born outside the UK. Explore the meaning of home, belonging and identity through the community exhibitions and take part in the workshops that 'extend' the conversation of the original Hidden Stories Shared Lives project.

Through an Awards for All grant from The Big Lottery Fund, and with funding from Cumbria County Council, CDEC is taking the Hidden Stories exhibition and workshop to even more communities in Cumbria.

Between June and spring 2019, we are hosting the exhibition and workshop at 12 venues around the county, and helping you through the hour-long workshop to explore your own attitudes and journeys. We've already been to Kendal Unity Festival, Cockermouth School, Cross Cannonby Primary School, Barrow and Whitehaven Libraries and Millom Discovery Centre, to name a few.

If you know of a venue or would like to host a workshop, please get in touch with us.

Keep an eye out for the exhibition and workshop coming to Carlisle and Barrow-in-Furness in the new year!
