Maths can help your learners better understand different people, places and patterns in the world. Teaching it with a global angle can also give an insight into how maths can be applied and used to address and inform real issues in the world today.

  • To recognise how children’s mathematical skills can be enriched by using real life local, national and global contexts
  • To find and access high quality global learning maths resources for practical classroom activities
  • To explore ways to develop pupil critical thinking skills in relation to data and global statistics
  • To explore opportunities of linking maths with current world events
