The CDEC team are leading the walk up Holme Fell as part of Another Waynwright Day on Saturday 31 August and are asking you to join them for both the walk and the community picnic at the top!
CDEC are leading the walk up Holme Fell between Coniston and Ambleside, where the charity is based, and are asking families from local schools to come along to join them both on the walk and at the top.
The plan is to meet at Hodge Close car park at 11am with appropriate kit for the weather, a picnic lunch and tools to pick up any litter spotted on the walk to the high point of Holme Fell.
Once at the top, CDEC will be hosting a community picnic, with plenty of food to share, and will be raising awareness of, and promoting climate action. And anyone there will be included in the record breaking attempt for the most people to be simultaneously summiting the Wainright Fells.
The record breaking attempt of Another Waynwright Day is celebrating the launch of Another Way, a registered charity with a mission to empower people to change their own lives for the health and happiness of themselves, their community and our planet.
If you have any questions about CDEC's walk, please email us at office@cdec.org.uk or call us on 015394 31602 and leave a message - we'll get back to you as soon as we can!
