Emotional Health and Wellbeing

Emotional Health and Wellbeing

The golden thread of global learning includes emotional health and wellbeing. Society is increasingly recognising the importance to our health of being connected - to people, place and planet.

CDEC's support of emotional health and wellbeing in young people and teachers draws on our global learning lens and P4C approaches. We developed an well-received approach called Compassionate and Restorative Education (CARE) to support primary and secondary schools and their teachers directly as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic. It is also increasingly being recognised as a support package that can be used to support schools and communities that have faced difficult experiences. You can find out more about CARE here.

Our PLACE project also has an emotional health and wellbeing thread running through it, recognising the connection to nature and the place where we live can support our wellbeing.
