Working with other organisations is a key element of CDEC's work and survival, and it is fun!
What does our work with organisations look like?
Our collaboration involves developing projects together, supporting each other and learning from one another. We are always enthusiastic to join with other groups for project work and to help, support and see them grow.
Currently, we are leading on a project that brings a host of organisations together to work as a team to support black, brown and minority ethnic groups during the Coronavirus pandemic. The Same Storm, Different Boats project is developing opportunities for these groups and enabling longer-term ideas to come to the surface that will outlive this short-term project. Find out more about the project here.
Our ambition to ensure Cumbria is a Beacon of global citizenship brings organisations together under The Beacon (head to our organisation projects to find out more) to show that they are operating in a sustainable and people-focused way that also takes account of protecting our environment.
Do you want to work with us?
If your organisation has an idea to support any of the areas that we focus upon (you can see these here) and you think we can work together to develop this, then please get in touch with us!
Make use of our expertise
We also offer training in our expertise. We are qualified trainers in P4C and can lead Communities of Philosophical Enquiry sessions, plus team building, and are able to give you consultations on how your organisation can become more sustainable.
Be part of our family
Organisations can join CDEC and become members to gain support, advice and access our resources.
CDEC is a collaborative organisation and we enjoy working with other groups both here in Cumbria, in the UK, Europe and Africa, and have a long history in doing so.
