Cumbria's Youth Climate Summit
Schoolchildren from all over Cumbria have called for local action to ensure sustainable, safe transport and to tackle climate change, at a Youth Climate Summit held on 20 October in Carlisle.

Strengthening our schools as welcoming and resilient communities for refugees and people seeking asylum
Cumbria Development Education Centre (CDEC) and Furness Multicultural Community Forum (FMCF) have developed CPD sessions for teachers and workshop sessions for pupils on the theme of refugees, people seeking asylum and migration. All of the sessions being offered have been funded through the Cumbria Community Foundation and Awards for All.
